How do you pay yourself if you own a business?

A friend and I are opening our own small business. We are currently setting it up, website, business cards, etc, and after we put the website domain up were going to register the business and all that good stuff. So myt main question is after we start making money how does that work. I mean were going to talk with an accountant before we start up but I'm interested for myself now. Like when we get paid we put that in the company bank account ( company either gonna be LLC or DBA), but then how exactly do we ourselves get paid and how do we figure out how much.
